Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA Anyabwile now volunteers, teaches art classes to young students, and gives lectures when he isn't working on his Newbery Medal Winner 2015 Coretta Scott King Honor Award Winner * 'This novel in verse is rich in character and relationships.
